Thought is given to chill-out areas as well as stage presentation. At the New Year's Eve parties for 2020 and 2021 this meant that marquees were hired to provide shady relaxation areas around the venue at Ascension Vineyard in Matakana.
Also hire marquees were used to create an entrance way with shade, so queueing guests didn't stand for too long in the hot sun.
A large clear marquee was erected over the stage to provide a guarantee that weather and wind wouldn't spoil the party vibe, and that expensive equipment was protected from the rain.
