Our extra large hire marquee hosted four events over two days at the The Bay of Islands Festival, providing a Labour Weekend packed with live music, family fun and local flavours. Our massive 1200sqm Pavilion Marquee was ideal to eliminate any weather issues at a changeable time of year. All events were organised by Jacman Entertainment.
Set in an ultra-cool mega marquee, with maximum 800 guests, The Big Weekend for Kids was hosted on the Saturday by entertainers Anika Moa, Jeremy Redmore and Chris Sanders with fun, singing and dancing alongside a DJ - while the Magic Garden had a more chilled space with artists book-reading and lots of games.

On Saturday night, our hire marquee hosted a concert with Sonar Flare bringing together musicians from iconic New Zealand bands Op Shop and The Feelers, and were joined by the iconic Hello Sailor.

On Sunday, the focus turned to the Liquid Gold: Wine Beer and Spirit Festival, the Bay of Islands’ celebration of Northland wine, craft beer and spirits, all set in our stunning Pavilion Mega-Marquee at the Waitangi Sports Grounds, and showcasing award-winning vineyards, champion brewers, and master distillers. The children's garden was reinvented as the Gin Garden, making the most of the pretty space.
As evening rolled in, the weekend shifted into Oktoberfest mode, with the Little Oompah Band blending traditional German classics with crowd-favourite hits - rounding off a very busy weekend for our large hire marquee.
